Jean-Baptiste Leca

Jean-Baptiste Leca is a Paris Bar lawyer whose practice spans the full spectrum of intellectual property law, coupled with a strong command of complex and innovative contracts. He advises and represents clients across both contentious and non-contentious matters.

 

Known for his responsiveness and ability to devise practical, creative solutions, he assists French and international clients in protecting, enforcing and leveraging their IP rights, as well as in structuring and steering their industrial and commercial development projects.

 

Jean-Baptiste represents clients before French and European courts, including the Unified Patent Court (UPC) and intellectual property offices. He regularly coordinates with foreign colleagues, technical experts, and IP attorneys.

 

Jean-Baptiste has particular expertise in patent matters, notably in the health and life sciences sectors, and also advises clients active in the creative, beauty and food industries.

 

He holds a PhD and studied in France (Dauphine, Sciences Po and the Sorbonne), the United Kingdom (University College London) and the United States (Columbia Law School). He has practised in both France and Italy within leading law firms and IP practices.

 

Jean-Baptiste frequently speaks at professional and academic events in France and abroad, including at the Universities of Aix-Marseille, Turin and Naples.
